BUCK

Buck Warranty:
When you purchase a Buck Knife, you buy a knife for life. Here is an explanation of what is covered by our lifetime warranty and how to obtain warranty performance.

Warranty Information:
All Buck Knives are warranted for the lifetime of the original purchaser against breakage or malfunction caused by defects in materials or workmanship. This applies to normal use for which the knife was intended, not abuse or misuse. Buck Knives will repair or replace any defective knife with the same or comparable model. If you have any questions about your knife or the warranty, please call our consumer hotline at (800) 215-2825.

Product Warranty Registration:
Your knife may have come with a Registration & Warranty form. If it did, you may fill out the form and send it to us. If you did not receive a form, you may download the form here: Product Warranty Registration.

What is Covered:
Repair of your knife, including parts and related labor, or replacement with a new knife. To the extent allowed by law, the sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement. If repair is not practical and replacement involves a discontinued model that is no longer available, then the closest comparable model available will be used for replacement. Note: if it is important for you to receive your old knife back in the event of replacement, please include a note to that effect and include your phone number and/or e-mail address.

What is Not Covered:
Damage caused by misuse, abuse or failure to perform normal knife care and maintenance; damage from self repair; machine sharpening; knife loss, including shipping to and from Buck factory; transportation charges to Buck. Abuse, misuse, dismantling or tampering with your knife, or sharpening your knife on a power-driven grinding wheel voids your warranty coverage. How to Obtain Warranty Performance:
Describe your problem. Write a note describing the problem with your knife. On the note, be sure to include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address (if applicable).

Wrap your knife.
For safety and protection of your knife, please put it in the sheath, if you have one. If not, please wrap your knife (cardboard works well) so that it is protected during shipping and that the point does not cut through the packaging (particularly for fixed blade knives). After we have worked on your knife, we will return it in your sheath (or in a cardboard sleeve if no sheath was sent).

Package Your Knife:
Packaging your knife in a box is preferred, but a padded envelope may also work, provided your knife is not too heavy or too bulky. Please put some packing around the knife so it does not roll around inside your package. Please use tape rather than staples for sealing your package.

Send your knife to us:
To protect you against the possibility of loss of your knife, we recommend insuring your parcel and sending it trackable by certified receipt (at your expense). Note that cost of shipping your knife to the Buck factory and knife loss are not covered by our warranty. When your knife has been repaired, we will return it postage paid to you. If at any time your knife fails to perform due to manufacturer's defect,

Packaging:
To protect everyone who may handle your shipment, be sure to cover
blades with the original protective cardboard sheaths. If you did not
save these, you can use any other cardboard. Be sure to cover the entire
blade and tip of the knife.
Place the items in a cardboard box with extra packing material to keep
them secure during shipping.
Do not ship knives in padded envelopes.
Enclose a note explaining the reason for return. Remember to include
your name, address, daytime phone number and e-mail address so we
can promptly return your product.

Shipping:
Insure your package for its current retail value, and save your receipt.
KA-BAR is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Turn Around Time:
After your KA-BAR item is received in Olean, please allow 2 to 3 weeks for
the processing and return of your products.

Repair Referral Service:
Although KA-BAR does not offer repair services, the company is able to refer
customers to a reputable independent repairman. These repairmen are not
employed by KA-BAR. Each repairman determines his own fees and KA-BAR
does not warranty any modifications made to KA-BAR products by these
repairmen or any other outside service providers.

The Case Limited Lifetime Warranty

Case guarantees each and every Case knife to be free of defects jn material and workmanship for the life of the owner.

A Case knife is an investment that will last a lifetime if treated with common sense. Case knives are not intended to be used as hammers, chisels, pry bars or screw drivers.

If you respect your Case knife, you will find it to be a trusty companion and cherished possession for many years to come.

If you believe your Case knife has a manufacturing defect, mail your knife, along with a written explanation of the problem to:

BOKER

Welcome to the Boker USA warranty/sharpening information page.

On this page, we will provide answers to your questions regarding the Boker warranty, repairs, and sharpening of Boker ceramic knives.

Our warranty has been in effect for over 135 years. Any Boker product that is defective in material or workmanship will be repaired or replaced by us at no charge to the customer. Our warranty reads:

"Every Boker product is guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product for the original owner. If this item should fail under normal use, we will repair it or replace it at no charge with an item of equal or better value."

To better help you understand if your product is covered under warranty, the following items are normally not covered under warranty although exceptions exist:

Blade rusting, particularly on carbon steel blades.
Blade breakage, especially after more than a year of ownership.
Handle scales cracking or breaking.
Any knife that has been converted to perform as an automatic knife is not covered under warranty at any time. Boker USA, Inc., honors the Federal law that prohibits the importation or selling of automatic knives. Boker USA does not import or sell any automatic knives.
If you would like to send your Boker knife in for repair work or examination to see if it is covered under warranty, it must be accompanied by your phone number, shipping address, and, if possible, your e-mail address. If we do not have a method of contacting you, we will not be able to proceed with any repair or warranty work. To service you best, please contact the Boker USA

We do recommend you ship your knife to us via insured U.S. mail or through United Parcel Service so it can be tracked.

Our ceramic knives are very keen cutting instruments but are not intended for chopping or cutting hard items such as bone, staples, or frozen products and are not recommended for whittling. Due to their extreme hardness, which is why they do not need to be sharpened as often as a steel blade, they are brittle. Therefore, blade breakage or chipping is not covered under warranty. We do provide a sharpening service, which can get out most small chips in the blade as well as restore your knife to its original edge.

For sharpening, please send your knife, along with your name, address, and phone number and payment of $14.95 ($8.00 for sharpening and $6.95 for return shipping and handling) to:

SOG

SOG's Lifetime Warranty:
All SOG products are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for the life of the original purchaser. This guarantee is voided (as determined by SOG) by misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, or alterations of the product and does not cover any normal wear that might occur. All guarantee claims should be directed to the factory. U.S. claims should be sent prepaid and insured. For international claims, call or write SOG's Warranty Department for information. SOG reserves the right to the repair or replacement of a product at our discretion.

When returning product, please do the following:
Include a brief note inside your package stating what you are returning, the claimed defect, and how it failed. On that note, put your name, return address, daytime phone number, and your email address. Insure your package for the full retail value of the contents.

OUTDOOR EDGE CUTLERY

Each Outdoor Edge product is guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser.

Our knives are produced from stainless steel, however, "Stainless" does not mean "Rust Proof". All stainless steels will rust if not cared for. Rust is not covered by warranty.

Sheaths are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty becomes void for any product that is abused or lost.

Outdoor Edge knives are quality cutting tools and shold be treated as such. Any use of an Outdoor Edge knife other than cutting is considered abuse. Warranty claims should be sent with original purchase receipt and a brief explanation of the defect to our offices in Boulder:

SCHRADE

Taylor Brands offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty against any manufacturing defects on Schrade products. This includes any problems a customer might experience such as loss of screws, breaking of clip or breaking of the blade. On any products manufactured using natural materials such as bone, stag, wood, buffalo horn, sheep horn, pearl, etc...these are considered natural materials and they are subject to shrinking with time. This shrinking can cause cracks in the handles and as this is a natural process it is not covered by our warranty. In order to have the item repaired or replaced, it is required to send the product to:

Please include a check or money order for $6.95 for each item that is included (for return shipping and processsing fee). Please remember to include a return address and phone number. If item has been discontinued and is no longer available, we will exchange for an item of similar value of our discretion. Please allow 2-3 weeks for repair and return.

It is important to note that some items can only be replaced, therefore, if your item has sentimental value, please consider this before mailing the item in.

ENTREK USA

If your Entrek USA knife fails for any reason, it will be repaired or replaced at the option of Entrek USA at no cost to the original owner. To date, we have replaced only four knives in 12 years. All were damaged while being used for things other than their designed purpose.
